Chief Registrar Inspects Courts
The Chief Registrar, HW Sarah Langa Siu, spent the better part of Monday 4 December, 2022 touring different courts.
The inspections kicked off at 9:00am at Buyende Magistrates Court where she was received by HW Ronald Nsobya. He took her on a guided tour of the Court. This was followed by an engagement with court users. The Chief Registrar commended HW Nsobya for the good ambience at the Court.
From Buyende Court, she proceeded to Kamuli Chief Magistrates Court where she was received by the Acting Chief Magistrate, HW Aisha Nabukeera. The Court was pointed out as being dilapidated and in queue for renovation. The Chief Registrar met several Court users and stakeholders and took time to sensitize them about Court processes and respond to their questions. The public applauded HW Nabukeera and HW Joy Kebirungi for being available at the Court and being diligent officers.
HW Langa proceeded to Kagoma Magistrates Court, where she commended the organization of the archives. The archives are placed in acidic boxes for preservation and chronologically numbered to enable easy retrieval.
She crowned the day with an inspection at Ntenjeru Court at 4:45 pm.
The inspections are part of the Chief Registrar's inspections of different courts in the Country to assess the state of administration of Justice on the ground, ensure compliance with circulars and directives of Top Management and assess responsiveness of Courts to the needs of their users.
She was accompanied on the tour by her Private Legal Secretary, HW Patricia Amoko.
